![]() Every dream and vision has an origin. Some are the fabrications of man's imagination, while others come from the divine fountain. For decades I believed that my dream was a product of my own devising. But The Fountain has taken me to the mountain top to see my life's journey and has made me realize that the dream was birthed by Him for His purpose. Like Joseph in the Bible, however, divine dreams take decades of preparation. Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed, which is a very little seed yet it grows into a large tree (Matt. 13:31-32). So, too, are the dreams of God. Joseph received his dream as a youth, but not until he was a mature man did it come to pass. And now, the dream that began in my youth is coming to pass in my maturity. Stunt Gymnastics has a large opportunity of use. Acrobatic Competition is a narrow slice of that arena. Group Gymnastics has a wide open door of possibility, and a very loose infrastructure. Dance has gleaned highlights of acrobatic movement, but has never fully utilized all that acrobatics has to offer. Acrobatic Competition has showed the way to combining dance and acrobatics but falls short of artistry (and so, too, Artistic Gymnastics falls short) that dance fully embraces, due to the competitive structure. Competition is a means to an end, yet always becomes the end instead of the means. Competition is a tool for refining the craft of movement, whose craft should be the foundation to artistic expression. However, craft can never birth art. Art is birthed in the soul and spirit. The craft should be the means of expressing the soul and spirit. Great coaches such as Juli Miller and Sherri Reikvam are people who have understood the expression of the heart, but athletes who only know the craft fail to create art when on their own because craft alone is dead and sterile and cannot produce life. Alexander's School of Acrobatics begins with the heart and moves through the craft. The goal of the school is to train athletes in the craft of stunt gymnastics, but more importantly to impart the heart of the creative artist. Not art for art's sake, but art that draws upon the Divine Fountain of Jesus Christ, who created all the world with the heart of an artist, and whose beauty is evident in every facet of creation. It is the Lord who wants this program, and for the Lord this program will give its credit. As a creative art for the Lord, stunt gymnastics is a tool for creating communities through the hand of God. Jesus is a social God. He wants people to be a family together. This program is a community creating program. A community of athletes training together in artistic creations, but also parents working together as team members. A community that loves and respects one another is the most creative expression of the heart, and any performance drawn from the fountain of love is a performance that produces life in the audience! And the day will come when the Life in His Body will find it harder to come together in the traditional venue of congregations. The capstone of the vision that Father gave is a new venue for the Body in gathering. As a tax paying business, our freedom to assemble is not hindered. The community formed through training is also a community resource for the benefit of the Body just as the Home School Co-ops and House Churches provide alternative communities. In 2004 Father gave me a vision of Christian Acrobatics that I did not understand until I began this program. The dreams that God give go way beyond our comprehension! |
