In 1999, I was a graduate student looking for God's will for my life and believe that when I found the sport of acrobatics, I found an avenue of ministry that would change the course of my life. No one had a greater influence in me understanding this than my coach, Alex Douglas. For 6 years he was a coach, mentor, father-figure, and a great Christian example for me. Through the sport of acrobatics, Alex taught me to trust in others and to trust in God. I learned discipline in life and in my walk with Christ. Ten years later, acro is still a huge part of my life and I have Alex to thank for it!

Alex,
I met with the man at BRAVO! Entertainment and he was unbelievably eager to snatch me up due to much of the talent that you, the Acro Team, and Youth Circus provided me to learn. So first off, thank you!

I have to be honest when I say that I never thought anyone would give a flip about my odd little skills I have acquired over the years. So many things that seem like easy little tricks to me have suddenly become something amazing to an entire company of people who consider my talents immeasurable.

Everyone loves me at the BRAVO! company and my manager has assured me that any time I choose to go into this profession full-time, he would be able to do it for me.

The greatest thing is that I am NOT a stilt-walker. I am a stilt-walker, a juggler, an actor, a gymnast, an acrobat, etc. etc. etc. I can do anything from Vegas stage shows to private party clown work! So the amount of work I am able to get is HUGE! (The red hair helps too. ha-ha) I hope all your students know that there is opportunity out there even if they never get signed with an entertainment company. Everything they are learning is something special- even if doing it over and over and over many times a week seems very UN-special. Even something like helping you with the costumes or makeup (stupid elf ears!) or volunteering for routines and acts makes a huge difference in how a business views your talent! So get to work guys! : =)

Alora Leath

Alora Leath, former student of Alexander Douglas, worked professionally in theatre because of his training.

We greatly value the physical and spiritual training that our son is receiving from Alex as a part of Alexander's School of Acrobatics. We feel like Alex is helping us to provide him with a strong foundation for his overall lifetime development, and after more than 3 years as Alex's student, our son continues to enjoy working out with him each week.

Several of our family members are currently students at the school and all have benefited greatly from Coach Douglas instruction, encouragement and godly example.

We consider ourselves very fortunate to have been directed to this program and it has proven to be a fun, all inclusive activity in which our entire family is able to participate.

Not only is Coach Douglas a knowledgeable and experienced teacher he is a coach that exhorts, encourages, challenges and inspires our students to grow in their skills and also in their relationships with God and one another.

We encourage you to participate in this program and to tell all your friends and family to do the same!

I wanted to pass along some info about a class that my girls are taking and love it. I could not afford the exuberant prices of gymnastics but found this program and I could not be more thrilled with the results. The girls have gone from beginner to beginner/intermediate in a short time and they are learning team work as well as Christian principles along the way. Alex cares about each student and wants to see them excel in the sport of acrobatics and their Christian walk. Please take a look at his website as he would like to see more students participate. There is a homeschool class which is what we attend and it provides for better flexibility in our schedule. Please take a look.

"My girls Jeannette and Michelle are very happy about taking the class every week. They are definitely learning many things through your program and are looking forward for the next class. They are excited about advancing in different things you have taught them to do and your class is a great blessing. Thank you."

"Our son has gained a lot of self-confidence after being in the acrobatics class. He no longer hesitates to try new things, but now he jumps right in and looks forward to new experiences. I feel that Mr. Douglas' acrobatics training has helped him overcome some of those old insecurities. Plus, he is learning how to work with others for a common goal."

We have taken gymnastics with Mr. Douglas for about a year now. He is a great instructor. The kids respect him, which is important. They learn, and have fun at the same time. We are blessed to have found this class.
