The Vision

Stunt Gymnastics is a coed program. As a gymnastic discipline all students train skills
that develop strength and flexibility. The training develops individual characteristics for the
body, soul and spirit:

House Churches

There is no way to grow in Christ, unless you are a doer of the Word. Hearers only, can not grow. Acting upon the Word is the same as exercise. If you eat without ever exercising, the food merely becomes fat. When you exercise, the food is not only burned in calories, but the muscle tissue becomes stronger by the use. Likewise with the Word of God. If you hear the Word without doing the Word you become spiritually fat.

The church business is set up to make fat and lazy Christians. They give much lip service to the congregation to be doers of the Word, and encourage voluntary service to their business. But, frankly, the very format of the church business is a theatrical show where the congregation are hearers only. Fortunately, serious believers in business congregations will be doers of the Word in spite of this format.

The format of the church gathering where everyone listened to one person speak began with Chrysostom (the golden mouthed 350 - 407AD), arch bishop of Constantinople. He began his career as a Greek orator, who was paid to give speeches. When he became a Christian, he simply continued to be paid for speeches by the church. At the same time Emperor Constantine became a Christian and took all the pagan temples and gave them for the church to meet within.

For the first three hundred years the church never met in buildings for gathering, except for homes. When Paul went to the synagogues, he was evangelizing, not meeting with the church. When they gathered in homes, everyone participated in the fellowship. It was an interactive meeting. They were all doers of the Word, not hearers only.

The Catholic church institutionalized church business and became a world power. When the Protestant Reformation began with Martin Luther, there was no intention on Luther's (or any of the other Reformers) of discarding the institution, only to reform it. They kept the institution intact, substituting preaching for the mass.

Nonetheless, God uses the institution, as He uses all things for His glory. If you know God wants you in a church business organization, then remain there. But if you are not sure, I encourage you to try a house church. If you do not know where to find one, here is a website that will help.

Families stay together in a house church. Children are part of the adult fellowship and are not separated from the parents. As I had stated in the page on homeschooling, children that stay with their families have more security and self confidence.

Regardless whether you stay in a business congregation or find a house church, be sure that all your decisions are based upon the leading of the Spirit for you and your family. When the apostle Paul told the Ephesians that the body of Christ "fitly joined together," (Eph. 4:16) it is the Spirit that fits the body together. Let the Holy Spirit guide you in friendships and community.
