About
Axcelerate Gymnastics opened in Concord in November 2019, started by owners Santo Soto and Yira Rodriguez. Recreational gymnastics for ages 5 and up runs in a separate building used only for rec classes, and the preschool program serves ages 2 to 5 with obstacle courses, music and themed activities. The girls' competitive side follows a development program covering levels 2 through 10, with the first three levels compulsory; the boys' team runs a Junior Olympic track for levels 3 to 10 alongside a Junior Elite track. Gymnasts join team by invitation once their fundamentals are safe for competition. Tumbling classes cover floor-only acrobatics for cheerleaders and gymnasts, and a Mom-Fit class gives parents a low-impact workout while their kids train.
