Carolina Stars is a family-owned gym in Fort Mill, SC, founded in 2001 by Paul and Alisha. Its class ladder starts with Starlets, a parent-participation class for 18 months to 3 years. Three levels follow for 3- and 4-year-olds: Little Dippers, Big Dippers and Mighty Mites, with children moved up as they master skills. School-age kids start in a Level 1 class for ages 5–6, then girls' and boys' Level 1 from age 6, where boys learn rings, pommel horse, high bar and parallel bars. Competitive teams train for both boys and girls. The gym also offers tumbling classes, clinics, open gym, birthday parties, parents' night out and school-break day camps for ages 6 and up (no gymnastics experience needed). The gym stays open for regular classes during fall break.
