About
Flipside Gymnastics and Allied Movement is a non-competitive boutique gymnastics school in downtown San Pedro that teaches through the arts. Owners Chuck and Stacy Alvarez bring music and dance backgrounds: Stacy has taught gymnastics since age 17 and trained on the Elite team at SCATS, and Chuck is a professional musician.
Classes are grouped by age under sea-creature names: Monkey Play for walking to 3 with an adult, Sea Stars for 3–4, Sea Turtles for 5–7 and Dolphins for 8–11, plus invitation-only Sea Dragons and the Manta Ray Performance Squad. A Level 2 hip hop class serves ages 9–12. Enrollment is month to month, with no sessions or contracts.
