About
Omaha Gymnastics Academy's south gym traces back to 1976, when the Omega School of Gymnastics started at Bell Hall in Papillion. In 1986 Omega's owners formed Kinetic Improvement and Development Services, Inc. to expand recreational classes; Jake Christensen took ownership of Kinetic Improvement in 2017 and merged it with Omega in 2018 to form OGA. OGA describes a 13,000 sq ft facility with two in-ground foam pits, an in-ground trampoline and multiple sets of Olympic-specification equipment.
The academy's Xcel team has 6 levels, Bronze through Sapphire, training 2–12 hours a week with a December–May season. Its boys team competes in USA Gymnastics Developmental Program Levels 3–10 under Program Director Steve Brauckman and trains year-round.
