About
Philadelphia Boys' and Girls' Gymnastics (PBG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the only program in Philadelphia offering competitive boys' gymnastics, training boys 5–18 in the USA Gymnastics Men's Development Program. Fred Turoff, Temple's men's head coach for 41 years (18 EIGL/ECAC title teams, 94 individual conference champions and 5 NCAA event champions), started it in 2003 as the Temple University Boys' Gymnastics Team, and supporting Temple's men's team remains a secondary mission.
Besides recreational and competitive boys' classes, PBG teaches preschoolers, beginner girls and adults, and its coaches are current and former collegiate gymnasts. The East Falls gym has all six men's events, women's vault, uneven bars, beam and floor, a TumbleTrak, trampoline and spotting belts, plus a parent viewing area with free Wi-Fi.
