About
Gym Quest Gymnastics now operates as Phoenix Legacy Gymnastics. Gym Quest was founded by Doug Lubking, a long-time coach and former State Director who carried the Olympic torch for the 2002 Winter Games after recovering from Guillain-Barré syndrome. Owner and director Marley Midkiff has more than 26 years of coaching experience and returned to Gym Quest after a brief retirement.
The gym teaches preschoolers through adults, offers classes designed for kids with physical or mental disabilities, and does not push kids toward team. Its invitation-only women's team covers USA Gymnastics Development Pre-Team Levels 1 and 2 and Xcel Bronze through Diamond, and its men's program uses USA Gymnastics Xcel and the Men's Development club, national and elite tracks. Former gymnasts have joined NCAA gymnastics and acrobatics & tumbling teams.
