About
Larry Gleason, a former captain and all-around champion on the University of Minnesota men's team, founded Gleason's Gymnastic School in 1966, and it bills itself as the longest-running gymnastics program in Minnesota. It fields competitive teams in women's artistic, men's artistic, and trampoline and tumbling.
The boys' path runs from Junior Boys pre-team through compulsory Levels 3–6 and optional Levels 7–10, with Boys Xcel as a lighter bridge option; girls compete Xcel from Bronze to Diamond. Recreational boys' classes split time roughly into thirds of tumbling, apparatus and trampoline. Classes cover preschool (2–5), girls 5–7 and 8+, boys 5+, high school gymnasts 12–18, co-ed trampoline and tumbling from age 6 (feeding the Gleason's Flyers T&T team), parkour free running from 7, and adults 18+.
